After completing her DNB in ophthalmology in 2014, she underwent fellowship to specialize in the field of paediatric ophthalmology and squint from the world-renowned Aravind eye hospitals, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India (2016-2017). She had an opportunity to interact and work with various world renowned national and international faculty in her fellowship during her tenure. She came back to her hometown, Mumbai and started her clinical practice since 2018.
She received her Fellow All India Collegium of ophthalmology (FAICO) degree in 2022.
In the year 2023, She went for an international observership programme at most prestigious ‘Boston Children’s Hospital’ (one of the ‘Harvard medical school and teaching hospital’. There she gained tremendous experience observing and working with the most eminent and very skilled Paediatric ophthalmologist and strabismologists (squint specialist) like Dr. David Hunter & Dr. Linda Dagi
She also worked with Dr. Richard Hertle, the very famous nystagmus specialist.
She is proficient at performing Phacoemulsification surgery for treating cataracts in adults as well as children (age ranging from 6 months to >80 years). She has skilfully performed many ‘Squint surgeries’ in children and adults. Her surgical experience amounts to >3000 happy patients. She has great expertise in dealing with the various eye conditions in children.
She has keen interest in academics & research work. She has received a ‘Gold medal’ for her poster presentation in the international conference of SPOSI- AAPOS-2016 on Surgical management of 4th nerve palsy from Lt. governor of Delhi, Shri Anil Baijal.
After which there has be no turning back, she has been presenting clinical papers and has given talks on platforms of various ophthalmic societies. She loves teaching and regularly takes lectures for post-graduation students. She has also done publications in various journals. She is a member of various ophthalmic societies like AIOS, BOA, WSPOS, SPOSI.
She is an Honorary consultant at Bai Jerbai Wadia hospital, Parel and Western Railway hospital, Mumbai central, Mumbai.
She was an ex – honorary consultant at R.N. Cooper hospital, Vile Parle, Mumbai (2019).
She believes in giving back to the society and thus has provided free surgical services to many, in the camps organised in peripheral parts of Gujarat & Maharashtra and continues to do so.
